Make Your Own Cartoon Series

by admin on July 16, 2010

Check Out Episode 1 of our new cartoon series below.

We all have cheap cameras now, and most computers come with the editing and sound software, you can cook up your own cartoon series, right? So we did! In fact we are on episode 6 right now. This is our first episode. We’ll post the other in the coming weeks.

To do this yourself, all you need is a character, a setting, and a basic problem? It’s easy, try it. Get a 8×11 piece of paper and draw three columns. Write “Character”, “Setting”, and “Problem”. Then start listing ideas under each column. You’ll find that mixing and matching these three columns of ideas can get you silly cartoon ideas in no time. We made 20 ideas in about 10 minutes.

Our favorite was a bunny rabbit on a desert island, who’s main problem is that a shark is constantly trying to eat him… a battle like the Road Runner and the Coyote, or Plankton and Mr. Crab. The Shark always tries to get the rabbit, but the rabbit is too clever. That’s the idea anyway. Here is our first episode of Shark vs. Rabbit:
